1.0 INTRODUCTION

The main role of OR-MUUUB is to strengthen Good Governance in the operation of Government activities by designing Policies, Laws, Rules and Procedures for the operation and management of public service activities and building the capacity of Public servants to provide better services to citizens. According to the Document of Division of Responsibilities for Ministers as announced in the Government Gazette Issue No. 619A&619B dated 30/8/2023, OR-MUUUB has the following responsibilities:-

1. Preparing, revitalizing and managing the implementation of Administrative Policies, Internet Government, Housing of Public Servants, Archives and National Archives, and Management of Natural Resources in the Public Service;
2. Managing Public Service Administration;
3. Administering performance contracts in the Government;
4. Managing plans and development of human resources in the Public Service;
5. Administering the Salary List in the Public Service;
6. Managing Public Service Ethics;
7. To prepare and manage the structures and systems of the Government’s operation and the improvement of the service delivery of the Public Service;
8. Coordinating the establishment and development of Government Agencies;
9. Managing and improving the Public Service;
10. Supervising the performance and development of human resources in the Office of the President, Public Service Management; and
11. Managing institutions, programs and projects under the Office of the President, Public Service Management and Good Governance.
