Key Details:

1. Laboratory Sample Archivist (1 Vacancy)

Job Description: As a Laboratory Sample Archivist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and archiving of laboratory samples within MITU’s research projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that samples are accurately tracked, stored, and retrieved according to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sample archiving and ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP), and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Catalog and store laboratory samples, ensuring all samples are correctly labeled and tracked in the laboratory database.
• Coordinate with laboratory management to ensure seamless data collection and entry into the system.
• Regularly update the laboratory manager on the status of archived samples.
• Support the retrieval of archived samples for research needs and external laboratory shipments.

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma in Laboratory Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of laboratory sample handling and management procedures.
• Experience with database management and tracking systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desirable:

• Experience in clinical research sample management.
• Familiarity with laboratory data management software.
• Training in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP).

2. Data Manager (1 Vacancy)

Job Description: MITU is seeking an experienced and capable Data Manager to join its data team. This position requires technical expertise in database design, clinical data management, and experience in maintaining clinical trial databases. You will work alongside the Senior Data Manager to ensure the effective data management for MITU’s research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage data for studies assigned by the Senior Data Manager while ensuring adherence to GCP and SOPs.
• Develop and maintain study-specific data management plans and databases.
• Ensure timely resolution of data queries.
• Enter study data into various software applications and maintain study databases.
• Support field teams in handling electronic devices for data collection.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, ICT, or a related field.
• Experience with data management systems (OpenClinica, OpenDataKit, RedCap).
• Knowledge of programming and clinical research data management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and statistical analysis tools like STATA or R.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills.

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification in clinical research data management.
• Experience with data cleaning and electronic data capture systems.
