TEMPORARY JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Director of Dar es Salaam City Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for the following position:
- Position: Local Militia (317 positions)
General Requirements:
- Tanzanian citizen
- Completed Form Four or Six
- Must have a National ID or NIDA number
- Fluent in Kiswahili and English
- Physically and mentally fit, confirmed by a government doctor
- No history of drug abuse
- Ready to work anywhere within Dar es Salaam City Council
- No criminal record
- Must have undergone JKT or militia training
- Must provide a guarantor’s letter from a government employee and a permanent resident of the area
- No legal or criminal charges
- Age: 18-45 years
- False information will lead to legal action
- Former government employees dismissed for forgery cannot apply
Responsibilities:
- Guard council property and operations
- Maintain security in assigned areas
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors
Contract Terms:
- Three-month contract
- Salary: Tshs 10,000/day (approx. Tshs 300,000/month)
