Africa Healthcare Network (AHN) was founded in 2015 when co-founder Nikhil Pereira-Kamath took a leave of absence from Harvard Business School to establish the first private dialysis center in Rwanda. Patients lacked access to care and Nikhil and his co-founder Dr. Lloyd Vincent dedicated themselves to building out high-quality dialysis services across the region.
Since then, AHN has grown to over 32+ centers across East Africa, as the largest provider of dialysis and preventative care, employing ~400 people (65%+ women). AHN is currently the fastest-growing healthcare services company across Africa, with plans to expand to 100+ centers by 2025, becoming the leading platform across Africa.
