Surface Miner Operator ( Tanzanian only)

Qualification required— Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

Experience – Minimum 2 years’ experience in operation of Surface Miner

Reporting to: HOD – Mines and Workshop Maintenance.

Following are the skills required:

1. Good leadership and communications skills.

2. Must be fluent in communication and correspondence in English language.

3. Must have hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of Surface Miner. Experience in L&T Surface Miner is desirable, and will be given preference.

4. Must have hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of Heavy-duty Dozers, Excavator, Wheel Loaders, Tipper trucks, High capacity Hydraulic crane

5. Must have a very positive attitude and high on integrity.

Following are the job responsibilities: –

1. Ensure Workplace Health, Safety and Environment procedures and regulations are followed.

2. Responsible for job allocated

3. Maintain the documentation of Workshop Data / Record, Reports as per the management requirement. Provide weekly MIS report to top management as per company guidelines.

4. Carry out condition monitoring of operational machines and take periodic preventive maintenance to maintain high availability of the equipment.

5. Undertake unplanned work resulting from breakdown and emergencies, which is to be dealt with in efficient Time & Manner.

6. Execute Plan and as per SOP procure

7. To Inspect the quality of incoming material

8. To keep Engine oil/lubricating oil/ Coolant leakage check

9. To Maintain good housekeeping

10. Develop himself with the skills of the operation through training.
