
Trade Marketing Manager at Knauf
Job Description
As a Trade Marketing Manager at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited, you will lead and execute trade marketing strategies, ensuring the profitable growth of our business. This role will require a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to drive performance in a competitive and challenging environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement trade marketing plans aligned with business objectives to drive revenue and profitability.
- Identify growth opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with sales teams to strengthen partnerships across key trade channels (distributors, contractors, and retailers).
- Optimize the go-to-market strategy by ensuring appropriate product mix, pricing, and promotions for each channel.
- Lead trade promotions, in-store activation, and merchandising initiatives to increase product visibility and sales conversion.
- Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of trade campaigns, ensuring ROI and profitability targets are met.
- Track and analyze market trends, sales data, and channel performance to provide actionable insights.
- Use KPIs to monitor the impact of trade marketing initiatives and propose improvements where necessary.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all trade marketing materials and activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience of working in fast paced commercial and changing environment.
- Experience of discovering and sharing analytical insight with stakeholders with various levels of analytical expertise and at all levels of seniority.
- Experience of working in an agile, project-based environment, focused on delivering user needs.
- Strong proficiency of developing performance management dashboards and KPIs tracking report.
- Strong knowledge of trade channels, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics in B2B and B2C settings.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data for decision-making and performance measurement.
