  1. Credit Analyst (2 Open Slots)

    Reporting to: Credit Manager
    Job Purpose: The Regional Credit Analyst evaluates the creditworthiness of customers and potential debtors for high-value loans, ensuring sound lending decisions. This role involves analyzing financial data, assessing repayment capacity, and recommending loan approvals or denials while monitoring branch credit risks and training staff on quality loan origination.

    Main Tasks:

    • Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and credit assessments.
    • Prepare loan packages for credit committee presentations.
    • Monitor and recommend actions to mitigate credit risks.
    • Train Business Centre Managers and Loan Officers on loan documentation and assessment.
    • Analyze portfolio quality, including PAR trends, and recommend remedies.
    • Coordinate credit reference bureau access and training.
    • Ensure compliance with VFT’s lending protocols and regulatory standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Microfinance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

    • Excellent financial analysis, credit scoring, and collateral evaluation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Job Purpose: The Risk Manager ensures VFT MFB’s strategic goals align with its risk appetite by overseeing credit, operational, market, liquidity, compliance, ESG, and climate-related risks. This role fosters a strong risk culture, protects the institution’s sustainability, and ensures regulatory compliance.

    Main Tasks:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments and monitor risk indicators.
    • Analyze reports to identify credit and financial risks.
    • Deliver risk-related staff training across departments.
    • Implement and communicate the Risk Management Framework.
    • Prepare monthly risk reports, quarterly stress tests, and annual ILAAP/ICAAP reports.
    • Assess and improve internal policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • University degree in Economics, Business, or related field with strong accounting/finance knowledge.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in risk management in a bank or microfinance institution, with 2 years in risk analysis/compliance or internal audit.
    • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office and Loan Tracking Systems.
    • Certification in Risk Management preferred.
    • High integrity and ability to work under pressure.

    Qualifications:
