Open Positions: – – – – – — – – – – – – – – Land Surveyor Key Responsibilities: • Conduct topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys using modern surveying equipment (e.g. total station, GPS, GNSS, RTK Machine) • Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine project layout • Set out construction works including roads, buildings, pipelines and utilities • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, technicians and project/construction managers to ensure accurate implementation of design • Monitor and report any discrepancies between the actual layoutand design plans • Ensure compliance with legal standards and health & safety regulations during survey operations • Use CAD and GIS software to produce detailed site plans and layouts • Supervise and coordinate with junior surveyors or survey crews as needed Key Skills: • Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Proficient in survey instruments and data collection technology • Excellent communication and coordination abilities • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements • Physically fit for fieldwork under varying weather conditions • Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or a related field • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction or land development projects • Proven experience in using surveying equipment and software (e.g. Total Station, RTK Machine, Dumping level instrument, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, GIS) Working Station: Dodoma & Elsewhere in Tanzania and Eastern Africa
