Job Description

HR World Ltd on behalf of our client, we are looking for a Construction Engineer to lead the acquisition, renovation, and installation of service locations. The Construction Engineer will manage a team of Expansion Construction personnel, ensuring that approved sites are efficiently acquired, prepared, and commissioned to meet company standards and expansion targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of Expansion Construction personnel to achieve site acquisition targets
  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies in line with expansion goals
  • Review, approve, and oversee lease negotiations, contracts, and site documentation
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, landlords, and key stakeholders
  • Approve renovation plans, budgets, and oversee vendor/contractor execution
  • Conduct site visits to assess renovation progress and quality, ensuring structural and safety compliance
  • Maintain First Pass Yield (FPY) of ≥95% for site acquisitions and minimize rework
  • Implement quality assurance measures and standardize best practices across the acquisition process • Monitor team staffing and coordinate skill development and training for Expansion Construction personnel
  • Provide regular updates and reports to QA Expansion/Growth Lead on acquisition progress, FPY, rework rates, and key metrics
  • Escalate critical issues that may affect timelines, quality, or compliance • Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to company standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in property management, construction management, or facilities management
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a construction or site acquisition environment
  • Strong negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor contracts
  • Knowledge of construction standards, quality control processes, and legal/compliance requirements
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate renovation needs, budgets, and risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote locations
